Workshop Overview

Attend this workshop if you manage projects as part of your role or simply want to improve how effectively you manage or contribute to projects. The aim is to improve your ability to manage projects effectively through their different stages.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is open to all Academic and Professional staff.

Learning Outcomes

In this workshop, you will learn to:

  • understand key project management terminology
  • understand the different stages of a project
  • develop and implement project objectives and structure
  • understand the responsibilities of project managers
  • build and manage a project team
  • develop a project management system (GANTT, PERT or CPM)
  • understand the Project Management Triangle of time, cost and quality
  • identify and manage the risks associated with project management
  • assess customer/client satisfaction.

Format

This workshop runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm and lunch will be provided. It will start on time and be interactive, consisting of group activities and discussions.

Pre-work

Pre-work is not required for this workshop.
You may wish to bring information on one of your current projects with you to the workshop.
