Selection Criteria

The selection of grant applications will be based on the criteria below.

  • The benefits and relevance of the proposed program of activities to your development and to the University.
  • The level of support for the proposed program of activities by your manager and the endorsement of your manager's manager.
  • The quality and competitiveness of the application.

Please note: The time and period of your absence from the activities of the Faculty or Office will not be a primary consideration by the Committee in assessing the application.

The Selection Committee, prior to any recommendation being finalised, may interview you.

The Selection Committee

A Professional Staff Development Grants Committee will assess all applications. The Committee will be chaired by the Manager Organisation & Staff Development and will comprise three other members including:

  • a Head of Department
  • a Head of Office
