How to develop an effective advertising plan

Planning your advertising strategy is an important step that will help you source a wide pool of high quality candidates through different channels.

ADVERTISING CLOSING DATES

  • Academic positions are generally advertised for 4 weeks
  • Professional positions are generally advertised for 2 weeks

Job advertisements need to remain open for the duration of time that is included in the advertisement. This is to ensure that the widest pool of candidates are sought and to allow candidates sufficient time to prepare their application. Late applications are not normally accepted by the University.
